Microsoft on Nokia phones: ‘Never say never’

There’s an interesting piece today in Total Telecom about Microsoft’s perspective on the mobile device industry, RIM, iPhone and Nokia. If this is your bag, take a look… (And standby for the next version of Windows Mobile — it’s finally getting *there*)

“It would be nice to have Nokia… Nokia is a very powerful brand in phones,” admitted Horn. “[We are] open to them calling… [but] we’re not sitting by the phone,” he said.

“Never say never,” said Bach, when questioned on the likelihood of a Windows Mobile deal with Nokia.

  • Bah! Notice how it's always Microsoft people saying this? Always Microsoft tipping this out there, and judging the reaction, and I'm sure *someone* finds all the links that say it'd be good, and shoots those in an email to *someone* at Nokia, who I'm sure promptly places it (appropriately) in the junkmail folder.
  • heh, would you go nuts if Nokia brought out a Windows Mobile E90? ;-)
