Trent Barton buses launch WiFi between Nottingham and Derby

Moovera Networks are at it again. Oh yes. This time they’ve done a deal with Trent Barton, one of the UK’s leading independent bus operators.

You can now get wireless internet access on their coaches running between Nottingham and Derby. Eight of their Red Arrow buses are now active and the service is reportedly very popular with business people and students. I bet. Previously, you’d have had to just sit and stare at the scenery. Now you can check your Facebook on the go.

It’s Vodafone powering the back-end and that connection is being WiFi’ed out to the bus. No word on costs to the end-user. It is, perhaps complimentary. It’d be good if it was.

If you’re in Derby or Nottingham and see a Red Arrow coach, ask the driver, right? ;-)
