News just in from Orange!

If you’d like to get your hands on the HTC Hero right-way, get your skates on. Pop into any Orange UK store tomorrow and there will be one sitting, waiting for you to love and cherish. If you’re quick.

Indeed, I recommend calling ahead if you’re ultra-serious about picking one up, I think they’ll sell out quickly.

Hmmf. Not very impressed by Orange's publicity machine then. Nothing in the 'news' room on their site as yet. Are they trying to keep it a secret? Still, hopefully that means there'll be one left in the local shop to have a play with tomorrow.

I suspect they'll be announcing it tomorrow, Dan -- this post was based on a tip I got from them ahead of time. I wonder if my Orange contract is due for upgrade yet...

Well that went well.

I know you can't expect miracles but I'd have expected Orange employees to have at least *heard* of the Hero. Although to be fair, sales operative #2 had something of a clue and reckoned they'll be 'here in a couple of weeks'.

Ahh well, I was only after a play anyway.
