Don’t call me, I’ll text you. Maybe: The changing dating rituals!

Mark de la Vina at Sun Herald Mercury News (www.sunherald.com) has written a wicked piece about the changing nature of the modern courtship ritual.

A doctoral student in neuropsychology at San Jose State University, [Michelle] Fontana used to give her phone number to an interested suitor. Now she prefers exchanging e-mails to establish communication. If she likes what she reads, she suggests talking via Yahoo messenger or her cell phone.

You know what? I do this too.  Mark’s article is definitely worth a read to keep track of changing trends.  Well, to be accurate, I think it’s useful to read to verify the changing trends.  A lot of people I speak to don’t quite believe how ingrained the use of text messaging, email and instant messenger already is.
