o2.co.uk number one mobile site? Errr

I was doing a search for ‘mobile-video-to-web‘ this afternoon.

First result? Well, it was this:

O2: The leading mobile phone site on the Web

Much to my amazement. The leading mobile phone site? That’s a BIT too rich, surely?

Sure enough though, if you visit the main o2.co.uk site, you’ll see this plastered all over the place. I really don’t see how the o2.co.uk web editor will be able to look me in the eye without smiling if I was to challenge them on this.

Vodafone’s web page title is simply: ‘Vodafone‘. Fair enough. Accurate.

T-mobile’s title: T-Mobile UK Mobile Phones and Mobile Phone Accessories. Again, accurate and fair.

Orange’s title: The future’s bright. Perfectly understandable.

And finally, Three’s homepage title: Welcome to 3. Once more, perfectly fine.

So, what planet are o2.co.uk on? 😉
