Discount Dangan appointed to chair Plus SMS Holdings

Link: Plus SMS appoints colourful Earl to board.

Volatile NZAX-listed, text messaging company Plus SMS Holdings today appointed the colourful US-born Earl of Cowley to chair the board of its Isle of Man trading company.

I was doing a search for something completely different and came across this one in Google News. Half the press release is about the chairman’s ‘colourful’ (their description) background. I particularly liked this line:

The journal notes Earl Cowley’s son Graham, who holds the official title Viscount Dangan but known to his friends as “Discount Dangan”, runs a successful brokerage in London.

That’s a wicked nickname!
