Portio Research: Future mobile services & applications

Portio Research are back with their latest extensive report. This time they’ve spoken to 750 mobile consumers across 10 European countries.

Here are the headline contents:

  • Understand consumer attitudes towards mobile TV, video calling, mobile music, mobile email, MMS, mobile advertising, adult content and much more
  • Covers Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Spain, Sweden and the UK
  • Explore current trends in voice and SMS and MMS usage, and penetration of advanced services
  • Learn how many European consumers are interested in mobile TV and how much they are prepared to pay
  • Analyse differences in age, gender, tariff, income and country of residence
  • Discover which services are surprisingly popular, and which are set to remain a niche
  • Understand the potential of these new services in the European market

More details here.   The report is priced at between £2,495 – £5,995 depending on corporate size — but if you mention SMS Text News, you never know, John White (who looks after Business Development for Portio), might do you a deal.

(No guarantee though!)

  1. Ewan,

I can see that the report is quite expensive (as all market analyst reports are). Looking at your review of the report I am very interested in one aspect of the report – “Discover which services are surprisingly popular, and which are set to remain a niche”.

This is exactly what we need to know. It will save us time and money if we can get this information and therefore I am willing to enter into discussions with Portio for the exclusive use of their small chrystal glass object for use within our company. We do not mind signing NDA’s with Portio on the data we can retrieve from our analysis with the glass object.

I just think that maybe Portio could extend their business model to include hire of the glass object to exclusive clients. That would be so good.
