If you haven’t yet tried out Zyb, give it a look. I’ve been using it for 2-3 weeks now and it’s brilliant.
While my contacts are backed up on my Apple, I’m one of the few who seems to do this. I usually sync my N90 every morning. However, there are plenty of people I know in the mobile industry who don’t do this at all.
A friend of mine, a mobile industry veteran, recently lost his handset. Left it in a cab and, rather inconveniently, the handset wasn’t returned to him. It contained 800+ contacts — including the number of some guy who he claims is a friend of Michael Jackson. Who knows. Anyway that’s all lost. All down the drain. He didn’t back it up. We’re having to pull him off the ceiling at the moment. He’s now having to answer every call he gets then quickly save the number to the address book again.
Deary me.
So, don’t lose your handset and then spent months trying to get your data together again. If you’re using some shite Ericsson from years ago — TIME YOU UPGRADED. If you’ve got a decent handset, fly over to www.zyb.com, get an account and try it out.
Worth it.
Hey dude; I’ll have a look at this today then. For all my SyncML needs I use http://www.mobical.net, a totally free syncml service, which has blown me away with ease of use and functionality.
Hey alfie, I’ve been using ZYB for a while and I think it has a better user interface than mobical. The contact list and calendar sharing features are simply fantastic. I think ZYB has a better standing than Mobical
