Three X-Series pricing revealed by ThreeStore staff – £10/month?

SMS Text News reader JJ went into a Three shop yesterday and added an update on this earlier X-Series post. Here’s the advice he apparently received from the staff there:

Went into the three shop they told me it would be 10 GBP per month on top of the normal three plan you get 50 hours of slingbox viewing 1GB per month download including your skype calls i guess

Well, well, well.

Could this be accurate?

I hope so. When I saw JJ’s comment come in, I nearly wet myself with excitement. (Don’t tell anyone about that, right?) I was holding out for some STUPID price plan arrangement of the likes of Orange’s ‘unlimited’ off-peak data rubbish price plan for £75/month.

But no. If what the ThreeStore staffer told JJ was accurate, it looks like Three could potentially revolutionise the industry.

T-Mobile were first with their 7.50/month plan. When the next mobile operator introduces an unlimited data option (i.e. 1gb fair use), that will, I’m sure, FINALLY put paid to the rubbish £3 or even £8 per meg charges everyone else is paying at other operators. I would hope.

Anyway, I await confirmation from Three with a big dollop of excitement.
