Oh this is a bit of sex, it really is. Have you seen the E65? It’s the new slider handset from Nokia, and it’s exclusive, in the UK at least, to Three UK.

Not only is it exclusive, it’s also their third X-Series handset after the N73 and the Sony Ericsson W950i (which is still marked ‘coming soon’) on the site. I imagine that it was a more easier job deploying X-Series of the E65 because it should have been broadly the same as the N73 — in terms of applications and updates.

I’ve had quite a lot of people talk to me about the E65. Quite a lot of, ‘Now, that might persuade me to swap,’ or ‘My girlfriend is very interested in that one,’ and so on.

it is a good looking handset. But it’s the X-Series facilities that really set it apart. Even today, people don’t quite get me when I’m telling them that they’re offered, what, 5,000 monthly Skype minutes, (generally), podcasting, instant messaging, unlimited data and so on.

To give you a perspective, £45 up front (for the E65) and £40 a month buys you X-Series Silver and 300 mins/1000 texts or 750 mins/150 texts on an 18 month contract commitment.

There’s a ton more information at the X-Series product page.

  1. does the e65 let you browse the internet using wifi? Clever choice by 3 to range it for x series if it does…

  2. Thats an amazing deal. I want one now.
Currently considering T-Mobile in Germany but you’re talking 40 Euros per month for ulimited (5GB) traffic. If does include HSDPA though and 20 hours hotspot use .
Unfortunately they don’t have any HSDPA phones ready, only USB Modems.
