Mig33 Gets The Big Bucks

Mobile social networking and instant messaging client, mig33, has received an additional $13.5 million in second round funding recently. Mig33 allows users to chat, make MOIP (Mobile-VOIP) calls, and share images on a cross-carrier platform. Available as a free java application download, the Mig33 client runs on nearly any handset on the market and makes it incredibly easy to keep in touch with friends. They’ve also recently added the ability to participate through their website.

Currently Mig33 claims a userbase of 9 million users across 200 countries. These users login 2 million times per day, sending more than 45 million messages and sharing 1 million photos per month. Congrats to the Mig33 team, we’re looking forward to seeing new features in the future.
