I was walking through the park in Soho Square this afternoon when I saw a chap sitting using an HTC Universal (Qtek 9000).
I remember those!
I had to capture it. I stopped, walked back and did a walk-by-QIK:
It’s been ages since I’ve seen one. I think it’s an o2 branded one as it’s black.
My mate still has his somewhere around. They're somewhat beast-like to use, but I spose the same could be said of the E90 😀
I still have one. VGA screen, great keypad, WiFi, etc, great device. Just waiting for Opera 9.5 to make it usable!
Apart from a few irreparable design flaws (no external screen, and you look like a right idiot talking on it) the universal is unfortunately still one of the best handheld devices out there (mostly thanks to community efforts like xda-developers).
I was disappointed when its successor (the HTC Omni) failed to surface. I think, however, that the Raphael is about to take a spot in my heart!
