That’s not a typo.
It is Four Pounds and Ninety-Five Pence Only.
Less than FIVE POUNDS!
They’ll be giving them away in Christmas Crackers soon.
Carphone Warehouse have launched the handset today — just in time for Christmas.
So think twice about whether or not you want a circa £900 commitment to get hold of an iPhone 3G. Perhaps you’d like 181 Samsung B130s in stead?
It does phone calling.
It does texting. It’s got a WAP browser and GPRS capabilities along with a currency converter, calendar and a voice recorder! AND it does MP3 ringtones.
Colour screen, too.
Plus it weighs just 67 grams.
Heh. Fantastic!
FIVE POUNDS? Wow.
Ahhhh bless it! 🙂
That's not a bad little phone for the price. I can only see it for £20, although that does include £10 airtime…
Me too – http://shop.carphonewarehouse.com/pay-as-you-go… lists the phone priced at a Tenner- plus the mandatory GBP 10 pre-paid credit
Just had lunch with her indoors then popped into the carphone warehouse store in Worthing. They didn't have any in stock but I ordered one. It cost £14.95 which includes the £10 credit – this I will sell on ebay probably as we already have a contract monthly sim.
Hopefully this will last her a couple of months until the Nokia n79 comes out on the networks.
Looks very similar to a Nokia device. I wonder how Nokia will compete with devices like this in the future.
Exactly where do you find this handset for £5?
I can only find one instance of it on the Carphone Warehouse website and that is for £10.
